To be honest, the only danger you face smoking weed is bumping into the police whilst doing so. What gets me so so angry about the law, is that cigarettes are SO much more harmful, yet they're still legal. Alcohol as well. Drinking can cause people to end up in ridiculous states - having to have their stomach pumped, passing out, violently vomiting. If you smoke 'too much' weed, you're just gonna sit there chilling, eating loads of food, maybe have a nap.I know which I'd rather be doing. The plant has medical benefits, it's been proven, yet it's still illegal over things like these? I just don't understand....
Reasons why weed should be legal.
It would save the UK BillIons - Between 2004 and 2011, it was estimated that Brits consumed 36,579,100 and marijuana a year. Using Colorado's price rates as a guide, saying that UK dispensaries would charge £185 per ounce, the UK cannabis economy is estimated to be worth £6.8 billion a year, assuming that all of the marijuana can be regulated and taxed. CLEAR - a UK political party dedicated to the cannabis reform, have proposed a flat rate of £1 tax per every gram of cannabis sold, and VAT would be levelled at 20% on all cannabis sales. Basically, all of this means that an estimate saving of £763.2 million to British taxpayers.
Prohibition of it has done no good - The government have tried to prevent marijuana use for over 75 years, and yet According to the United Nations, 158.8 million people around the world use marijuana—more than 3.8% of the planet’s population. What should we do? legalize and let us smoke our weed in peace!
